We attended the "Expo for Todays Black Woman" and we were able to meet Jessie Jackson and Bill Campbell.
Parterning with the "Gary Literacy Coalition" we hosted a BookTalk Extravanganza on May 3, 2003. We gave away free books and hosted author Michael R. Strickland, who has about ten books to his credit. Check him out at michaelrstrickland.com.
In early May we were priviliged to meet actor Danny Glover.

At the "Expo for Todays Black Woman" the Brooks boys met many famous people. Mr. Jackson took time out of his day to pose with the boys before he was rushed away to another event.
